Teach English in South Korea

Teaching English abroad is an excellent alternative to the traditional post-graduate employment path. It also serves as a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while experiencing the rich culture of the East.

Teaching in South Korea can be the beginning of a rewarding career path, not to mention a chance to gain a one-of-a-kind international experience.

We will provide you with excellent orientation, placement, teacher assistance and support to help you make a smooth transition & have an awesome time!

Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field of study or a university diploma in English or Education.

Must hold a TEFL Certificate.

Applicants must be native English speakers with a South African Passport.

Applicants must be in good physical and mental health.

Applicants must be between 21 and 45 years old.

Applicants must be willing to commit for at least 12 months.

 

PROGRAM FEE: R18,000 PP

Our Placement Process

We don’t just find you an overseas teaching placement, we support you through the entire teach abroad experience.

Benefits

Teachers can expect to get a starting salary equivalent to USD 1,900-2,300 per month for full time teaching.

All contracts are for a minimum of 12 months, and are renewable.

Full orientation and training will be given to each applicant before they start work

Teachers typically get FREE furnished housing, FREE airfare, paid holidays, health insurance coverage, etc. Expenses are absorbed by the South Korean government in support of its goals to foster international education and cross-cultural understanding.

All contracts also include a one month contract ending bonus!

 

EARNING POTENTIAL: R32,000 +

Airfare is provided by your employer. Most employers will pay for your airfare up front, while some employers will reimburse your airfare when you arrive. In cases of the latter when you get your first paycheck, they will pay for your ticket.

Gaining a thorough understanding of language, history and culture is imperative to making a success of teaching in South Korea. preparing to teach abroad with this mindset results in a smoother cultural integration, making the experience more enjoyable and enlightening.

Our cultural immersion course delves into the heart of South Korean culture and values through in-class instruction/lectures, and active-learning cultural excursions to various sites of cultural and historical significance. The in-country orientation is punctuated by in-class language lessons to build a strong foundation in Korean language.
