Petra
After breakfast, prepare yourself for an unforgettable day exploring Petra, a true Wonder of the World and one of humanity’s oldest cities, with a history stretching back over 10,000 years. This legendary “rose-red” city, famous for its unique blend of nature and human ingenuity, is carved right into the sandstone cliffs that tower above you, blending architecture seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.
Your journey into Petra begins through the narrow, winding path of the Siq, a mesmerizing canyon that leads you deeper into the heart of this ancient marvel. The anticipation builds as you weave through the towering rock walls, finally emerging before Petra’s awe-inspiring Treasury, carved directly into the cliffside. This iconic façade, with its intricate carvings and towering columns, feels almost otherworldly.
But Petra has so much more to offer beyond the Treasury! Wander through hidden gorges and winding passages, discovering ancient temples, royal tombs, and entire streets lined with rock-cut architecture. Every corner reveals another incredible sight, from the Amphitheater, which once held thousands, to the Monastery, a grand structure that rewards the climb with breathtaking views.
