The Itinerary
Arrival in Sri Lanka!
Meet and greet at the airport by your Hi Tours representative before transferring to Wattala. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel (standard check-in time: 14:00) and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Relax, settle in, and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Wattala to Kandy
After breakfast, begin your journey inland to Kandy. Along the way, stop at the renowned Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where rescued elephants roam freely and bathe in the river — a wonderful chance to witness these gentle giants up close. Continue to the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, famed for their orchid house, towering palms, and lush landscaped grounds.
Arrive in Kandy, the island’s last royal capital, and check in for your overnight stay.

Kandy to Ella
After breakfast, set out on your journey toward Ella. En route, stop at a scenic Ceylon tea plantation for a guided tour of the lush estates and a factory visit, where you’ll see the art of tea-making come to life before enjoying a freshly brewed cup.
Continue into the cool, misty hills of Nuwara Eliya, affectionately known as “Little England” for its colonial charm and manicured gardens. From Nanu Oya, you may choose to board the optional scenic train ride to Ella, considered one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world.
Arrive in the laid-back hill town of Ella and settle in for your overnight stay.

Ella Exploration
Fuel up with breakfast before setting out on a scenic hike to Little Adam’s Peak. This gentle trail winds through emerald tea plantations and rewards you at the summit with sweeping views across the valleys, rolling hills, and the distant outline of Ella Rock — a perfect way to start the day surrounded by nature’s beauty.
Next, walk to the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, an engineering marvel from the colonial era. Nestled among tea fields and dense jungle, the stone arches stretch elegantly across a deep valley. Time your visit with the passing of a train for an unforgettable, picture-perfect moment.
Return to your hotel in Ella and relax for the evening.

Ella to Mirissa via Yala National Park
After breakfast, travel from Ella to Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s premier wildlife destination. With grasslands, lagoons, and scrub forest, Yala is home to elephants, sloth bears, jackals, and a dazzling variety of birdlife. It’s also famed for having the highest density of leopards in the world — so keep your eyes sharp on your thrilling jeep safari. The rumble of the tracks, the wild calls echoing through the park, and the chance of spotting a leopard make this an unforgettable adventure.
Later, continue your journey to the laid-back coastal town of Mirissa, where golden beaches and ocean breezes await.

Spend a relaxing morning in Mirissa, perhaps enjoying a whale-watching tour or lounging by the beach. In the afternoon, take a short drive to Galle, a historic coastal city. Visit the UNESCO-listed Dutch Fort, where you can wander through cobbled streets lined with colonial architecture, boutique shops, and cafes. Don’t miss the scenic views from the fort’s ramparts as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean. Return to Mirissa in the evening for a peaceful night by the sea.

All good things must come to an end. After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to check out of your hotel and head back to the airport for your departure flight.
